About the Field Manual Team

We write for people who want AI to quietly help with daily tasks, not for people who want to be impressed by it.

Why a field manual?

Most AI coverage swings between breathless excitement and doom. Neither helps someone who just wants a cleaner email or a kitchen timer that works. A field manual is different: short numbered chapters, quick-reference cards, and a habit of telling you the limits alongside the benefits.

How we work

  1. 1
Hands-on testing. We use each tool for real household and office tasks before writing about it.
  2. 2
Source everything. Settings, laws and standards are checked against official documentation.
  3. 3
Review on a schedule. Every chapter is re-checked at least each quarter, and dated.
  4. 4
No paid placements. We accept no sponsorship, affiliate fees or free hardware in exchange for coverage.
